Greet and Meet (I)

Hey!! Yeah Yeah Yeah… I know it's suppose to be meet and greet, but go with me!
First off, Greetings from an *almost graduated Senior!! Graduation is so close, and as sweet as that sounds, it is going to be hard letting go off these past 13 years at Trinity.  Today is one of the first days that the word ALUMNI started to sink in…. Anna Claire Loftis- Alumi of '14… that's weird!  I don't really feel that old.  But anyway! Today we opened our 5th grade memory boxes, sat through a long slideshow of then and now photos, and had a senior faculty dinner.  Can you say emotionally exhausting??? You may nod your head in agreement :) (Right now I can see all of the little green guys from Toy Story just nodding away in robotic rhythm saying oooohh.)

Why thank you Google for supplying this needed visual!

Ok now: this is what I actually meant to put in the blog :)

I have struggled so much w/this particular blog post simply b/c my brain waves are going a million different directions due to just being a senior(and Coach Cleveland's anatomy class!) Seriously, I can barely get myself dressed anymore(after years of wearing uniforms, one forgets how to put together an outfit for all of these senior functions! haha), and forget about me being on time- forget it. But having "Senior Day" at school helped direct my focus a little bit for the post.

Second off, HERE come the MEET PART!! (can't you just feel the excitement after that semi-depressing paragraph)

I want you to meet the old me and the "new" me(just little bits, b/c honestly I feel like a little goes a long way)

1. Favorite Food(starting easy here…)
a. Old Me: cheese and ice cream
b. New Me: Raspberries for sure! *these rare and expensive little dimes are divine- *rare in my house b/c 5 dollars for a small container is Out- RAGEOUS!

2. Personality Type
a. Old Me: Type A
b. New Me: Type B(yes, I did a 360 turn around about 10th grade)

3. Favorite Toy/things I enjoy:
a. Old Me: Polly Pockets(I spent at least a whole hour just setting up their living quarters… mini me was all about some interior design via Polly Pockets! :) and wiffle ball!
b. New Me: Spotify- Does this count? Yes and Surfing the Quotes part on Pinterest:

Here are a few of my favorites from this week!

    - "Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet."  If there was ever a quote to explain my existence, it would be this one.
- by Bob Dylan/Bob Marley/who knows

    - "And the fact that it bothers me bothers me also." I love this one b/c this happens to me all the time… it just makes me laugh.

  - "I love when you look at someone with a smile on your face, and they break into a smile back at you, not because they know why you're smiling, but because you're happy, and that's enough to make them happy." How great is that?!
(I generally like the short and simple quotes, but I just couldn't' pass this one up!)
-by e.k.

4. Frustrates Me the Most:
a. Old Me: practicing the piano
b. New Me: loosing something right as I'm about to walk out the door(like my keys!- I actually did this today….)/when there is nothing good on the radio/technology in general.

5. Excites Me the Most:
a. Old Me: spend the night parties!!
b. New Me: meeting new people/hearing a great song on the radio/FRIENDS/stories(I really appreciate the people who are willing to sit down and tell me a story bc a. I am terrible at telling stories and b. it means they want to spend time with me, and I just love that :)

6. Favorite Places to Go:
a. Old Me: O'Charlie's/grandparents house
b. New Me: THE Loft(a. it's the first 4 letters of my last name b. their clothes just always fit me(they actually take into account that girls can be short and modest…how nice of them ;) Cracker Barrel - I'm such a southern girl at heart…I just melt into the atmosphere when I walk into the aroma of home cooked food, checker boards, and old memorabilia. and of coarse- Books A Million/Starbucks

ok that was plenty!

Also, it is fun to look back at my relationship with Christ when I was little.  It is easy to believe in something when you are little. EX: Imagine those big puffy cheeks and rolls of fat on those cute, chubby arms.  You put such faith in your mom and dad without holding back :) I suppose it was like that with Christ.
Now, He is isn't an assumed variable- He is a desired one.
To me, the world just doesn't make sense without him?  *I realize this conversation could go on for hours. But, my point is that the older you get, the more and more you must think for yourself.  *This is also one of the main reasons I would never want to turn the clock back a few years even if I could.  I have really enjoyed trying to think for myself over the years- figuring out the world for myself- Becoming Me.

Well, I do believe that is all for this particular blog post, but I am so pumped about the next one!! Since this post was kinda all about *me*, the next one is going to delve into some friends(because I am not sure who I would be today without them!) So get ready for Greet and Meet Part Deux!

Lots and LOTS of Love,
Anna Claire :)
